What is Truth?

“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”’ –Psalm 14:1

Battle and war,

Bloody, ugly, tiring.

Truths among lies,

Good mixed with evil.

Faith in God,

Faith in self.

A labyrinth of choices leading to unknown ends.

A word, an action,

A sickness, a decision.

Consequences and celebrations.

Hope lies in the balance,

Perseverance has an end.

Expectations determine acceptance of results.

Who is in control?

Under whose authority do events unfold?

In what does hope lie?

Questions among questions,

A feeling of hopelessness suffocates.

Remain in the presence of God amidst the uncertainty,

For God’s word is reliable.

“I keep my eyes on the LORD,

With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” ˜Psalm 17:6˜

A need to know the end from the beginning.

On this path, what will be the result?

Will the end justify the means?

Is the end worth the effort?

Who says the means to the end is acceptable ?

Who says it is not?

How can one praise, one hope?

When another sees cruelty, is angry?

Brokenness and surrender —

Does submission equal weakness?

Does it show power, wisdom and strength?

“Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.

For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.”

˜Lamentations 3:32-33˜

A promise given, when will it be fulfilled?

Is patience a requirement for fulfillment?

Does impatience affect the promised outcome?

“Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

˜Romans 4:20-21˜

Life, death, sickness, health, miracle or glory?

Who has the power to decide?

Only One.

Questions keep pouring out,

The answer remains the same:

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

˜Isaiah 40:31˜

Father,

Forgive my questions and wavering wisdom. Let me speak openly and honestly with you during my difficulties. May you keep your eyes on me while I search for you. Help me to see you always and to seek without ceasing when I do not see you. May my heart remain firm and my eyes steadfast on you. For now and always!!!

In Jesus Name,

Amen!
